As a 'smart elitist,' college graduate and leftist I must reply. A single-payer health care insurance system is the only way it will work. It is also the only way anyone with an ounce of heart and compassion would want the country to go. It is also the only way we will avoid further class warfare and an eventual second revolution. The writer is not only selfish and without an ounce of compassion for his fellow Americans, but he is a spoiled fool.
I have been to Sienna but never got to research the Contradre. Thanks!
Happy birthday, Buddy! Hobbie's sixth was April 1st, too.
Instead of winning 640 million scoots last night, I still have my five bucks, unlike most of the others who blew it on tickets. LOL
But he gives me loving eye-squeezes when he does it.
People say "if you don't play you can't win." I beg pardon... I will still have a dollar and they won't.
LOL
Funny. And the comment is even more funny!
My rhubarb did not survive the warmish winter so I have to go look for new roots to plant. I simply can't live without strawberry rhubarb pies.
In The Netherlands (because of that country's history of 'empire' and 'ownership' for decades of Indonesia) this style of dinner is known as the "Rijstafel," pronounced RICE-TAFFUL. It means rice-table. I have enjoyed it several times but one particular dish nearly burned off my lips and tongue.
In Long Beach our next door neighbors took in the woman's sister's 9-month old daughter. They raised her. The mother was a total nut case. Drugs, cycle gang chick, and more. She tried to get the daughter back after she was in middle school, but the neighbors fought it and eventually got total custody and then a true adoption. Long story but it was neat to watch a childless couple suddenly faced with a baby to raise this human for all those years.
