Laundry day. Two giant baskets. The 18 quarter washing machines. An hour and a half of watching the towels, jeans and socks spin and spin and spin. So boring.
I did meet a very good-looking thin blonde lady, though. She showed me photos of her grandchild. She appeared to be about 35 but she said 44. One son, getting divorced. etc and etc.
I drove to T.J.'s and had a coffee to renew my spirit after a nose full of Free and Clear All Detergent. Then I drove over to spend a few minutes with Mom, repeating the same news that I told her yesterday, the day before and the day before that.
Life is a prolongued series of repetitive repeats. Etc. and etc. and etc.
Then home and put the clean stuff away - except for the socks which I must fold together tonight. Good things to do with one's hands when watching post-season baseball on TV. The cats have fun jumping in and out of the laundry baskets. I wish I could do that.
I got on the iron supplements today. They are like horse pills and have a sour aftertaste. Maybe I should simply lick the black iron skillet, but right now a cat has taken it over as a bed.
The breakfast was oatmeal, milk and sugar, a banana and coffee. Later I ate a piece of toast slathered with peanut butter. Doctor's orders.
Last night I dreamed about dreaming. In my sleep I was asleep and dreaming that I was sleeping. Go figure.
I did a quick design for a company T-shirt this morning. Forty minutes for seven versions of the layout. Two minutes to make a 7-page PDF. One tenth of a second to email it out to the client in SoCal.
Now it will take them about five days to decide. The deadline will be on that fifth business day. It always is like that.
Somebody asked me if I watched the debate. What debate? Zambrano was pitching for the Cubs against the Dodgers. Are you crazy?!!! What debate?!!!
He tossed a decent game. But the Cubbies lost because of three awful infield errors. Those guys played like minor league players. The Dodgers will probably sweep. One more loss and the Cubs can go home.
I am rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League. Previously I picked the Angels, but they look awful vs. the Red Sox.
Have a good weekend.
