It is such a relief to be away from the wackos and crybabies on Blogster. Frankly, I never gave much of a crap what they posted about because it took me very little time a few years ago to sniff out who they were, and then I never read their posts. I hope they stay there and never discover this great blog.
The good bloggers are drifting this way. I miss so many of the ones who left when the old blog decided to experiment with our hobby. The "new" blogster looks like a teen magazine or a handout from a Hannah Montana concert. Beside, I hate blue.
The owner here is a fine soul. He should be, because he originally hailed from this area. I do envy his current digs. Vegas is fine except for the heat months. And then you can practically go from one end of the strip to the other without ever stepping outside. If Eddie plays golf, he knows how I envy him.
I played at a few of those course in amateur events. I managed a trophy (not the win!) at one of them. The best part of golf around LV is what happens after the matches. There are ss-o-o-o-o many bars, lounges and glasses to drain.
I miss my favorite hangout down in the New York New York casino level. I'll bet they remember me when I bought everyone a round after I won 800 bucks on a slot. The tab was $340. I tipped the two barkeeps fifty apiece.
Now I'm wishing I had the cash. Oh, well.
I don't like to post about politics, that awful American distraction from truth and reality. But I have been watching the drama of Barack Obama catching up and about to pass Hillary Clinton in the delegate count. The guy has charisma and spunk and he is a darn fine public speaker. I have no preference for whomever wins the nomination. All I care about is that the next President of the US gets the country back on track and away from the disasters of the past seven years.
Last night's Grammy Awards was super. I think it had far too much rap, but then I like all music. The highlight of the night for me was the duet done by Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli. I had tears on my face. Right now my boombox plays Bocelli, as it does several days a week.
We are warming up. It just got to six degrees F. I may go out today. I'm out of half and half.
