Feeling MyBloggers Today ...

It is such a relief to be away from the wackos and crybabies on Blogster. Frankly, I never gave much of a crap what they posted about because it took me very little time a few years ago to sniff out who they were, and then I never read their posts. I hope they stay there and never discover this great blog.

The good bloggers are drifting this way. I miss so many of the ones who left when the old blog decided to experiment with our hobby. The "new" blogster looks like a teen magazine or a handout from a Hannah Montana concert. Beside, I hate blue.

The owner here is a fine soul. He should be, because he originally hailed from this area. I do envy his current digs. Vegas is fine except for the heat months. And then you can practically go from one end of the strip to the other without ever stepping outside. If Eddie plays golf, he knows how I envy him.

I played at a few of those course in amateur events. I managed a trophy (not the win!) at one of them. The best part of golf around LV is what happens after the matches. There are ss-o-o-o-o many bars, lounges and glasses to drain.

I miss my favorite hangout down in the New York New York casino level. I'll bet they remember me when I bought everyone a round after I won 800 bucks on a slot. The tab was $340. I tipped the two barkeeps fifty apiece.

Now I'm wishing I had the cash. Oh, well.

I don't like to post about politics, that awful American distraction from truth and reality. But I have been watching the drama of Barack Obama catching up and about to pass Hillary Clinton in the delegate count. The guy has charisma and spunk and he is a darn fine public speaker. I have no preference for whomever wins the nomination. All I care about is that the next President of the US gets the country back on track and away from the disasters of the past seven years.

Last night's Grammy Awards was super. I think it had far too much rap, but then I like all music. The highlight of the night for me was the duet done by Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli. I had tears on my face. Right now my boombox plays Bocelli, as it does several days a week.

We are warming up. It just got to six degrees F. I may go out today. I'm out of half and half.

Well I sent invites to a few more on "the other side" and left a post for that "wrecking team"...since that site went up, no bugs have been cured and that "baby picture" is still the featured blogster...I'm amazed at how screwed up that place really is and how they don't seem to care...in any case, I really like this place. There's a bit of refreshing sanity here...as for Obama...he just may be unstoppable after his sweep tonight. What a great speech tonight in front of an over flow crowd in Madison, WI...he reminds me of RFK..

as for politics, I feel the same way. I will vote for whoever I think can do the job best, get this country out of the hell hole we have sunk into. Barack is a good speaker!

I feel the same way about the election, jon. It's sort of who cares. Anyway, I'm glad I'm here as well. I really don't like it over there and I'm having my blog turned off in two weeks. I'm happy here and at inked in!

its pretty chilly here too. got down to like 5 above last night. brrr. but after living in The Flower City by the Lake New York that seems positively balmy. I have never been to Vegas but am dying to go. The ramblin' gambler in me cries for the place. And golf too? It can only be heaven on earth. My clubs are collecting dust. yeah, looks like Mr. Obama has the big "mo" now and the wheels are comin' off Hill's bandwagon. I could vote for either of them in good conscience. But then, both of them are gonna be in the audience wondering wha...happen... when I take the oath come Jan 2009.

Thanks for all the great kudos regarding the MyBloggers platform. I don't play much golf so you don't have to be too jealous. It would be very cool to see some of the other (good) users come over and check MyBloggers out. We are slowly getting the old gang over here.
