The reason so many politicians want to cut funds for education is not that it will cut the budget deficit. The reason is - it is much easier to rule over poorly educated people than smart people.

...especially if you're a stupid congressman...
My fervent hope is that they lose all their money and have to live like real people. They need a reality check.
I remember Rick Santorum talking about people who wanted college educations being elitist. I continue to be astonished that Republicans are recycling all the ideas they lost on.
