Beware of Some Gift Cards! ...

Here's a heads up that if you tend to give gift cards around the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards will be honored after the holidays.

Below is a partial list of stores that you need to be cautious about:

Circuit City (filed Chapter 11)
Ann Taylor- 117 stores nationwide closing
Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug ,and Catherine's to close 150 stores nationwide
Eddie Bauer to close 27 st ores and more after January

Oh, boy! Gonna miss some of these. We already lost Linens and Things and I guess we will lose our Circuit City too, which leaves us with Best Buy, my very least favorite.

oh I'm sad about fashion bug, they have decent clearance stuff for work clothes. I hope I won't loose the one closest to me

It's scary though when you look at this list and realize it's just the tip of the iceberg. Barack has some heavy lifting ahead of him in the next few years

thanks for the tip, jon. Lane Bryant...dang, that's where I gets all my clothing, or most of it. They specialize in clothing for ample women. This list does not bode well for the economy. I keep asking myself what good is $2 a gallon gas if nobody has work.

Our economy is in such poor condition! These are major stores! It seems that we are all in a lot of trouble...

This is such sad news. A couple of my favorites are on the list. I'll have to check in this area to see if we are affected. The economy is frightening and we are suffering.
