I Have an Accent ...

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: Philadelphia

Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard.

Interesting quiz. When Pittsburgh natives say a word like "hill" or "aisle," their tongues do not touch the roof of the mouth. It bugged me when I first moved here. And "fire" is one syllable, but in Cincinnati it was two.

many of my New York friends say that I'm getting my accent back now that I've been back "down south" for a few years. some say I never really lost it.
