Sorry tis been a long time since I was here last.
Anyway. I survived the terrible night shifts. Actually it went by pretty good. The only time when I wanted to shoot myself in the foot to wake me up was between 12 and 3 am. And of course there is clocks EVERYWHERE! And watching time go by only makes it harder.

The only trouble I had with night shift was my frustration. I am new to this job, a summer student. My trainer is not new.
And job is pretty easy .. ... other than all the paper work. I have to keep track of when the machine was down and why and for how long. Sounds easy enough right? Oh no. Michelin has to be complicated. You cant just write "Machine down because of Over Weight Material" You have to write the date, which is a code ... it be H19 and then the shift ..(C..? Maybe lol) After that you have to know what part
is wrong and find or know the code (which could look something like H19 C 12345 X 165 ZB 08 HF84 L 23:00 ).

Yup that totally makes sense to me ........

My Trainer is a nice fellow, but he goes on about the codes and just assumes I know what the nips (yes there is a part called nips .... somewhere on the machine .... and I have no idea what they are lol) are and that I will know what code it is. Bah. And then he says "Dont worry you will get in a while" Sure bud. You been there for 20 some odd years , easy for you to say.

And theres more paperwork than that. You have to keep track of all the rubber you put on the conveyor belt. Write the mix number... blah blah blah. And so on. All of this will make no sense to you guys. (Makes very little sense to me Bhaha)


And then theres other paper, white board stuff but I wont bore you poor souls who are actually reading this with all that.

So now Im wired. I dont know if I will sleep tonight, but I have to since I will be starting day shift Wednesday. And we all know how I deal with mornings.
