First of all...you have a Halloween parade?! I'm so jealous! That sounds like so much fun and I love that you and Kota are getting involved in so much around the community, Mary. And your landlord sounds like he kicks some serious a**.
I'm going to go against the grain and say that if the job is exhausting you, quit and don't look back. No one is indispensable.
YOU ROCK!
I'm not sure Angie. But this line from an Ani song came to mind when I started reading, "She never really expected more. That's just not the way we are raised."
Great pics! And what a great idea for a post!
Elfie style hugs for you and your hubby. I think you both could use one.
Oh my goodness, you poor thing! I'm so glad that your husband was there with you. This post brought back memories of when you had your cast. I remember feeling so badly for you. But shingles in the mouth?! Feel better, Stu. I'm thinking of you.
What a simply wonderful post, Mary. And an equally wonderful reminder for all of us that sometimes the grass *isn't* greener on the other side.
Did you find the therapy helpful?
I also should have added that Judy is in therapy to help her deal with what our mother did. Writing the letter wasn't enough.
That's the very thing my sister did just a few months ago. She has no regrets and feels good about what she said and her level of honesty. It was important for her to let our mother know how Mom's words and actions had impacted her throughout Judy's life but she knew she couldn't actually speak the words to Mom or Dad. Sometimes writing and being able to correct ourselves and look it over, etc. is the best way to go.
A new post from you...what a pleasant surprise.I had no idea that Ogdensburg was directly below Janet Land. I was pretty much convinced that Janet Land was the center of the Universe.
Who knew? Well, Gem, obviously....Think she'll share the treats?
Knowledge is power, as they say.
Keep it. If it's going to bother you to spend it on J and you, use to buy non perishable food items and donate them to the local Food Bank. Since you're a vegetarian, you could always buy veggie friendly stuff to donate since it's really hard to be a vegan or a vegetarian in that kind of situation.Trust me when I tell you that a company of that size can't take your word for it when you "confess". They no doubt got your message and in the spirit of customer service sent out that gift certificate. Just trust me.
