No, I actually *don't* read your blog. I just skim through the paragraphs and then read the comments to figure out what I'm supposed to say.

But in all honesty, why does anyone need to acknowledge your feelings or thoughts in order for you to have them? I undertstand the desire to be validated...everyone does to some degree...but nobody should be dependent on another's validation.

There I go again.

I was just thinking of you, Witchy and assuming that you had had the baby!Big congratulations to everyone.She is nothing short of gorgeous! By the way,I also think it's a sick game that nurses play... I labored for my son in an ambulance and swore like a sailor every time I had a contraction, which prompted the paramedic to say, "Sorry? What was that?" I coulda killed him...Happy mothering.

Mel, I adore you.This post was such an excellent reminder for all of us to not only appreciate what we have right now, like health and our wits about us but to also "roll" with what we lose. That's what Kind Mary taught me as I was reading. That sometimes things are just lovely, even if they're not perfect.

By the way...do you think I'd get an adjective before my name when I go into assisted living? Like "Turbo B.i.t.c.h. Janet"?

Wow. I just had to stop by because of your blogging name...I am a former punk and used hang with my fair share of skate punks.

If you're trying to change bad habits and everything stays the same, my guess would be that it might be the others' issues.

I grew up with wood heat and I also remember feeling like a rotisserie chicken on some nights!But you're right...it's such a comforting kind of heat that seems to warm you up on a cold night from the inside out.
