The managing board once decided that because we have so much colleagues (1400), it would be nice to thank them once in 2 year for all their hard work (btw I only know about 200 of them).
Last night it took place.
I always join those parties with a feeling like: "well, will I like it or not?", but must admit I made the right decision this time to join the party.
When I arrived, they first offered us a drink and after about 15 minutes we were guided towards a 'self-made' theatre. On stage about 20 colleagues made a good show with songs and dance. They rehearsed with some professional artists so it really was a good show, themed by the word "energy". The show lasted about 45 minutes and it was nice to see some close colleagues participating.
After the sow there was a big buffet with two theme's: you could eat "old fashioned Dutch" which contained all kinds of typical Dutch hodgepots ( I wrote about those about a year ago), and the other theme was Indonesian/Chinese food. I choose the last. It tasted great, only problem with so many people was the waiting time.
The rest of the evening some events on stage took place. There were singers, dancers and musicians. Topics were "the gibsonbrothers" and the grand Final with Hans Dulfer playing the saxophone.
It really was an enjoying evening, glad I joined!
