Nyc-trip

Well actually a lot happened last month but cause of being busy with work I cant find time to write regular here ( also want to read other posts made here lol).
February 11 my youngest son became 21 and cause of that we (my wife, my two youngest sons and me) left for NYC on Febr. 20th. The security check on Schiphol Amsterdam airport was an intense one ( not surprised about that after the Jasper Verschuren thing on a plane to Boston). I still hear my son say: the security officer even ticked both my balls lol.
In Newark the security was sharp as well and immigration lasted more then an hour..... wish they could be a bit more friendly. Round 2.30 we arravid in our hotel on 7th avenue (pennsylvania hotel). A simple hotel but not expensive.
We had 4 quite nice days there. Visited things we werent able 2.5 years ago when we stayed here for 4 days as well. On the program this year: liberty-island and Ellis island. Both a real nice thing to do I must admit. I had my doubts but it really was interesting. Security check for the ship was like an airport security..even had to take out my shoes....
Also walked some hours in central park. Cause of the snow it was a nice exdperience (thk god the weather was quite sunny). That night my wife and me left for "in the heights" a broadway musical which was quite a nice one. Cause of the english languages we had te be concentrated but it really was fun. Pity the drinks in the break were so terribly expensive. I paid 26 dollar for just 2 red wine.....
Another thing on our list was a shopping day.... well daddy's creditcard experienced a lot of expenses.
Pity that the next day was quite rainy...well we planned a museum day so not much of a problem. First we left for Sony wonder labs to experience some latest technical things like a 3d-tv. After the Sony building we left for the metropolitan museum. Woow so enormly huge and so much to see..fabulous!
Our final day we had just time for buying some souvenirs and so.
We you have fun time really flies and so did this trip.... After we came home there were just a few days left before we had to go to school again.
We will have to wait a long time now for our next trip.......

For those who are interested: i placed some pics on FB
