Finally able to post again. Last days, since last Wednesday, were very busy, but nice as well.
I will start from there.
Wednesday round 5 pm I first had a meeting with a storage company for my furniture. I rent a box for a month and i had to remove my furniture from home to that box in the following hours. I had to do that quick, cause my sons had to train for soccer round 8.30 and I had to drive to Maastricht for the conference (about 260 kilometer: 162 miles) so I didnt want to leave too late.
For removing the furniture I was able to use a trailer wagon at the storage. It wasnt a very big one but it was for free. We had to drive 3 times to move the 2 couches, dinner table with 6 chairs, comfortable chair, cupboard, dressoir and pc-closet.
Back home at 8.30 I needed to bring the TV set/surround system/dvd harddiskrecorder to the attic and needed to pack for leaving to Maastricht. Quite a nervous night I must admit.
On my way to Maastricht it appeared very busy cause of bad weather. I had booked a hotel in Liege (just in Belgium) for this night and was able to meet some chatroomfriends in real there. Was really nice to met them, they showed a lot of hospitality. I always feel a bit nervous meeting people I never met before to spend a night with. That wasnt necessary at all here. The were so great to meet, I regretted the time I had to leave again.
Thursday I had my conference off course and once in the hotel round 9 pm I was able to relax a bit. My wife called and informed me about the situation at home. Well, at home there was no TV, no phone and no internet. Just one little bulb in the living room so she went to bed very early. All cause of the electrician who was busy getting things ready for the new kitchen.
I relaxed a bit, was happy I was in Maastricht that day lol, and watched some tv. Friday another conference day and without traffic jam I arrived round 4.30 back home again.
We ate at McDonalds (kids asked for that) and when back home again, all cupboards and drawers needed to be emptied for Saturday our kitchen would be removed. It was quite a job, you never realize how many things you can put into cupboards.....
I also removed the magnetron/oven and removed some kitchen doors to be able to start quickly again Saturday morning.
Saturday morning the kitchenbuyers came round 10.30 with a huge van. It lasted till 3 to remove all parts of the kitchen and to get them into the van. It fitted but don't ask how.
At 5 we had a party at friends (mother became 50 daughter became 21). It could have been a nice party but...... The had planned to use the garden for it. It was almost freezing outside and they didnt had terrace heaters..... I was cold to the bones when we left home (earlier then expected cause of the cold). Well we had fun but we could have had more fun when all was prepared better.
Sunday I put up some things at my mums to make life a bit easier for us (we cant cook, dont have water downstairs) and again had a party. My aunt became 70 and celebrated that in a nice place. We were home round 8 pm again ( yes Martin we went out for dinner as well, just a main dish with a terrific good mixed grill with peppersauce). Finally time for ourselves. My wife went watching tv upstairs, I did some pc-work and chatted a little in my room. Finally able to really rest a bit.
