Good Thursday, Blog Pals:
Things plod along here in Cow Snot. Mama has decided she doesn't like her assisted living establishment Passing Winds. She's having trouble adjusting to the routine and the regimentation. She went to the hospital the other day complaining of chest pains. They kept her overnight and perfomed some tests. All seemed fine so they sent her home. I think its anxiety and told Crazy Sis to get Mama's primary care physician to prescribe a chill pill. I think it would help a lot if she'd just relax.
We have a new manager here at Shady Pines. The old one was having some policy issues with the Cow Snot Housing Authority, the governing body, so he "resigned" to "spend more time with his family". The new manager is a resident here and is liked and respected by most. I think she'll do a good job.
Been watching the news coverage of the disaster in Haiti. It hurts my heart to see all those wounded children. At times I cannot bear to watch. What really ticks me off, though, is these network news reporters down there fiddle farting around. Brian Williams, Katie Couric, and whoever that is over at ABC down there getting in the way, taking up room on planes that could be used for relief supplies. Jackasses. So, I'm watching NBC and that moron Brian Williams is standing there talking to this little kid with a water bottle in his(Brian's) hand. In a disaster where people don't have potable water, here is this asshole swilling down water in front of this little kid. Ol' Brian is definitely in the running for the Bugg Douchebag of the Year Award. And in yet another example of intelligent, thoughtful journalism some numbnut reporter asked a guy who'd been buried under rubble for 44 hours "Are you happy to be out?" I swear, I am not making that up. The guy looked at the reporter like he was crazy and said "What do you think?" I would have thrown in a few well placed expletives. "What are you, a fucking asshole? Why don't we bury you under some rubble for a coupla days and see if YOU'RE happy to get out, jerkoff."
