Happy New Year, MyBloggerstown:
Well here we are....in 2010. Hope the new year and decade finds all of you well and happy. Some milestones in the life of yer own Bugg and in general:
I have been in Cow Snot Wyoming for a little over a year.
Next month will mark my 1 year aniversary(and subsequent mammoth rent increase) at Shady Pines Senior Complex on prestigious Cheif Thunderjug Blvd.
I have been away from my beloved Flower City by the Lake for 5 years.
February 7th at 2pm will mark the 10th aniversary of the day and hour I first laid eyes on Mr. Bill. (sigh.) I would tell you the minute and the second but I don't want to appear obsessive or anything.
August 27th 2010 will mark the 12th year since Mr. Bugg's passing. (sigh, again). I still miss him so much sometimes. Hold on, I think I have something in my eye.
It's soon to be the aniversary of the inauguration of America's first African American president. The fact that he seems to be turning out to be just another hack politician does not lessen the significance. Had the Republican candidate won, it would have been worse, in my humble view. Mebee one day America will wake up and stop electing corrupt, greedy, power hungry jerkoffs to public office. I will not hold my breath.
Unemployment is over 10% officially. I read where its more like 17% in actuallity. My niece Lulu Belle and a number of children of neighbors here at Shady Pines are among these statistics. All of these have spouses and young children. It's just sad. It is my fervent hope that President Jugears and the rest of the gub'ment will get its head out of its ass and start taking positive steps to get these and the other millions of Ameicans back to work. Mr. President, I am here to help. If you need any advice, please don't hesitate to call on me........(crickets chirping).
We lost Walter Cronkite, Farah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and Patrick Swayzie among others. And we saw a much admired sports figure revealed as a lying, cheating, ego inflated, drug soaked trouser snake.......and then there's the Tiger Woods scandal.
Ah, well ....we hope and pray for better times ahead. It's all we can do, really.
