Good Friday, Blog Pals:
Well, I'm feeling much better today. Dr. Tightass declared that I had a pulled muscle and prescribed some lovely muscle relaxers. It seemed to do the trick. I slept well last evening and am not feeling too bad today. Still some twinges but better all in all.
We are due to go over to Crazy Sis and Mama's tommorow for a cook out and a belated birthday celebration for me. How nice of them. They've gotten pretty much all squared away over there and this will be their first occasion to entertain. It should be interesting. Anyway the kiddies will all be there and we get to spend time with Daisy May and Jethro, whom I rarely see. Things are going well with Jethrene, it seems. She e.mailed her mother(sis-in-law Suffering) with news that she might be getting a promotion at the accounting firm. Apparently, they are impressed with her work and she's just going great guns there. She's gotten several bonuses and pay raises in the short time she's been there. Frankly, I was worried about her when she lived in West By God but she seems to have pulled her head out of her ass just a bit now. In addition to a fine career for her, she is also assuring that the babies have a future, which is after all the most important thing.
Well, you can tell Cow Snot is getting in gear for its anual clusterfuck known as "Rodeo Days" They are having some big name country stars in to perform (Kenny Chesney, George Strait, and some others with whom I am not familiar as I don't often listen to that ear rupturing swill). I hear its a madhouse with every jerk wad tourist on the planet descending upon the town so I may just have to skip the more popular venues. It's only for two weeks ...then all we'll have to contend with is the home grown jerk wads.
Well, I guess I'll go watch a movie or somethin'. There's a bowl of ice cream with my name on it around here someplace.
