This is a wonderful collection! My favorite one here is the second one by Charles Dickens.
I sure hope this feeling is a passing thing. Can you find a bright side anywhere? Maybe cookies?????
I know folks who refuse to have pets because it hurts SO MUCH to part with them! For me, I don't know what I'd do with my animals. They add such joy and happiness (and comedy) to my life! My heart goes out to you and Dela, Steve. Big hearts such as yours break easily. (Hell, I still get teary-eyed with I think about the day we put Pal, my first German Shepherd, down. That was seven years ago. 18 years is a good, long life. I'm sure Bitchy gave you many moments of pleasure...and vice versa! "I cannot begrudge the passing of my breath. After so much life, so little death!"
Mama Mia the play or the movie? I saw the movie a while back.. Pretty good, but Pierce Brosnan shouldn't EVER try to sing! I friend of mine ("Chimpy" here on MyBloggers) saw the play, and she thought it was fantastic.
Our horses, pony, cats and Dixie the Dog are all expensive too...but they're worth it, aren't they??
Algebra, huh? So THAT'S how you spent your Sunday Morning, eh, Annie??
P.S., I just added you to my friends list. I LIKE this blog post or yours!
I wish that the predicted snowstorm comes as they are predicting, and my wife and I are snowed in together ALL WEEKEND LONG!
Why so melancholy kid?
I wish that pain and tears would vanish from the earth.
Where in WI? I went to school in Milwaukee...years and years and years ago! Dreams are funny, huh? I never remember mine. Mary Ellen remembers ALL of her's down to the most minute detail! Sorry you're so bummed lately, kid. Remember that 95% of what we worry about never comes true. And there are some things in life over which we have absolutely no control...so why worry about them? In my life, when the worst possible things happened to me, I always found strength inside me and from my friends and loved ones to somehow get through...and then, "the worst" was really all that bad anyway. By the way, how's Kramer doing? You haven't written much about him lately. Believe it or not, I was thinking about him the other day!
Hey! Look who has paid us a visit! Nice to see you, Holly! I've missed you. You're right about holiday gift-giving. Even though the retailers would tell us to buy something, ANYTHING, for everybody, I disagree. What are the greatest gifts I get every year? My family showing lme ove. And the love that I show them is also a gift TO ME because it makes me feel good too. That's it. Yeah, material things are nice, but they are not essential. Merry Christmas, kid!
You and he are really sick, you know that??!!
God! I LOVE this essay! It brings tears to my eyes every time I read it or hear it. Thanks so much, Strider! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Sage advice!!!!! Now, if I could just convince my wife!
