Me

This is one of those wonderful emails I get from people.
Now we are blessed to have more than one healthcare worker here at mybloggers, and if I didn’t know any better there is one that lives just outside Chattanooga that I could blame this on.

YOU GOTTA LOVE A GOOD NURSE!

A motorcycle patrolman was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix.

The doctors operated and advised him that all was well.

However, the patrolman kept feeling something pulling at the hairs in his crotch. Worried that it might be a second surgery and the doctors hadn't told him about it, he finally got enough energy to pull his hospital gown up enough so he could look at what was making him so uncomfortable.

Taped firmly across his pubic hair were three wide strips of adhesive tape, the kind that doesn't come off easily.

Written in large black letters was the sentence: 'Get well soon...from the nurse in the Jeep you pulled over last week.'

You know I sit and feel so bad for myself and for others in this bad time of need, and I realize just how good most of us still have it.
Are you still watching TV on cable or satellite?
When I came to work there was a couple who were living in a Dodge Van behind the store. They were living on food stamps and good wishes. All they knew was they were going to stay together and somehow pull through.
I used to get so pissed that he would keep his wife in a van during an ice storm. But they knew—they knew.
He got a job, they moved from a van to a motel. They paid off the payday loans and didn’t hurry.
His company moved to Kentucky and they want him to go along.
In about a week she will have the apartment she deserves; she will have a place to make a home for her and her man.
And him? Well he has the best reward of all. The woman he loves, he meet at the Mission. He fell in love and has never ceased to do his best to provide.
There is something magical about us-we have a thing in us that surpasses all else. We can love even through our own death. We give ourselves, our whole beings to others. Our greatest act is an act of giving our life to save another’s.
Sometimes that act is just loving, or sharing.
