I can see so much better with contacts and have worn them off and on for 50 years but finally gave up on them last year due to allergies. My eyes kept watering so bad and I could not keep the lens clean. I miss them.

Holy Cow, you are a painting machine. How do you paint so fast? I am promoting your art by putting a different one as the background on my computer. Today I had Yellow Aspens, one of my favorites. This one is beautiful also.

I think we should tie the price of a bushel of wheat directly to the price of a barrel of oil. If a barrel of oil is $115, then a bushel of wheat should be $ 115.

What wonderful memories! I could eat a plate of pork chops and sliced tomatoes right now! I lived in Greece from 1964 to 1966 and had the most wonderful landlord. His wife used to fix us coffee in the evening and we would sit around the oil stove where it was warm and visit. She always fixed a small cup for my son who was 2. The restaurant we visited frequently used to give my son a tiny glass of the Greek wine, Retsina....it was a special time and place.

We used to have a Piccadilly restaurant here in Augusta and my favorite dishes were their Broccoli Rice Casserole and the Roast Beef. Thanks for posting the Broccoli Rice recipe.

I love old houses and yours is just beautiful. The house I was raised in (my sister still lives there) was built in 1921 and has been in my family since 1940. Old houses are always a work in progress but it is a labor of love.

I can't use the Capsacian rub either..it makes my skin hurt like a really bad sunburn. The only thing that helps my arthritis and scoliosis is aspirin and we all know what happens if you take to many aspirin. Several years ago I was taking 2 every 6 hours. I cut my finger and thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room to get it stopped bleeding.

Oh my gosh, my yard was full of them this past weekend. I love seeing robins arrive then I know spring is just around the corner....but so is the pollen!

I agree with Deb. It's beautiful but felt like I needed a sweater. I prefer the yellow aspens because I like bright colors.
