Woman Bites Dog Who Attacked Her Dog.

After reading glashomo on his dog that was attacked.
This come to my mind.
I do not like Pit Bull at all.
Turn around to hear about all of this.
Well the Pit Bull owners will have something to say about
this.Really do not care.I do not liked them.
She was one brave woman there,to saved her dog
Know that I could not do this.
Glad to hear that her dog is doing fair.

MINNEAPOLIS - Amy Rice feared for her dog's life when a pit bull jumped over a fence into her yard and attacked her pooch. So she took matters into her own mouth.

Rice says she bit the pit bull on the nose Friday after trying to pull the dog's jaws off her Labrador retriever, Ella. The dog had jumped a fence to get into Rice's northeast Minneapolis yard, and Rice says she feared the pit bull would kill Ella.

"I didn't plan it, that's what happened. I broke the skin and had pit bull blood in my mouth," said Rice, 38. "I knew what happened, and I knew that it wasn't good."

The pit bull was quarantined Wednesday by Minneapolis Animal Control officers while rabies tests are being completed. Rice's doctor will determine whether she needs shots for rabies.

"I was sure that my dog was dying in my arms; it was horrible," Rice said.

Ella is recovering with staples and stitches to her head and a crushed ear canal, but she is afraid to go for walks, Rice said.

I too do not care for pit bulls. I know other dogs can attack as well, but pit bulls have those vise grip teeth that can kill so quickly and they are aggressive by nature. I'm afraid I would have had to pass on biting his nose, however. She is lucky he didn't attack her.

Three children have been eaten in France this year by Pit Bulls. They should be banned. All dogs should be banned in cities. the meat to feed them causes the destruction of the last forests to grow soya to grow beef to kill for dogs!!! meanwhile all the wild animals and birds are dying... sorry, pet dogs aren't worth the destruction and extinction of wildlife.

I am afraid of pit bulls, Fredo. We hear so many stories of ones that have been perfectly nice dogs and suddenly attack someone rather badly. I guess it could be any dog, but it seems hard when it could be one of your loved ones or a treasured pet that is attacked. Well...

The poor damn dogs get punished when it ought to be the irresponsible owner who takes it on the chin.

Dogs are required to have a license...but what about owners???

I hope Tom (glasshomo) sees this--should make him feel better or he might go and bite the owner of the dog that attacked.

This makes me sad. Judah is 1/2 pit, but 1/2 lab and he acts exactly like a lab, he's just short. I love him so much.

I feel for the owner of the Labrador, I love all types of dogs and its horible when this type of thing happens. Personnally, I dont know any Pit-bulls but I do have a Rottie who, according to the media, are a very viscious animal. I totally disagree with this - although I do, agree that have a 'hellava' strength in them, the animal is, whatever the 'owner' wants them to be - bad owner = bad dog. Chloe, our Rottie is a lamb - never showing herself to be in 'Wolves' clothing either. I believe that the owner of the Pit-bull in question, to be a 'bad owner'; hence the 'bad-dog'. I think that there are a lot of 'good' owners of pit-bulls, who are equally disgusted by this dogs attack on the Lab. but I cannot condemn,
all, dogs of this breed

I know what you mean. You do hear A LOT about pit bulls and aggression.. but it makes me sad when we generalize and stereotype...
BUT I also understand.
