The Pasture

Robert Lee Frost,a name that people associate with the
woods and streams of New England,he was born in
San Francisco,CA.on March 26,1874 was named after the famous general. When he was eleven, his father died of TB.
He moved wi th his mother and sister to MA.
Then shortly after to Salem,New Hampshire.
This is one of my favorites.

THE PASTURE
I'm going out to clean the pasture spring:
I'll only stop to rake the leaves away.
(And wait to watch the water clear,I may)
I shan't be gone long-----You come too.

I'm going out to fetch the little calf
That's standing by the mother. It's so young.
It totters when she licks it with her tongue
I shan't be gone long---------You come too.

Robert Frost
From Early Poems by Frost.

I love Robert Frost's work. "The Road Not Taken" was my first introduction to him, but I love all of it -- most especially "Fire and Ice" one of my favorites.

That was one of the first poems I had to memorize for school. I like it more now that I don't have to remember it.
