What Are You Doing on New Years Eve?

Well for us.It will be quiet.
We see a movie"Black Swan"a thriller.
Then have a special dinner for the two of us.
Baked Stuffed Pork Chops with all of the fixing.
I will play my tennis game tomorrow morning.
As a child and now that I am an adult have a mental block about New Years Eve.
I came from a big family,as the baby of nine.
Every New Years Eve.The boyfriends and the girlfriends will come over to our house for Italian dinner.
This has been a tratition for many years.
I really loved this.Seeing them and having many laughs etc.
What a joyous time that it was.
Now the breakdown.
After having a great time, then the roof caved it.
Got the house in order and the crew was ready to leave to celebrate New Year.
They all left and here I was all alone in this house.
No baby sitter those days.
Of course I was 12 .Able to take care of myself.
After they left, tears were running down from my eyes.
Of course could not go.
My mom has pass away, and dad had a date.LOL
Closed and lock the door and put the radio on to listen what ever stories were on.
So you see hate New Years Eve.
I was lonely and afraid.
Have been this way for the rest of my life here.
No one should be left alone on this day.
Below is a video of one of my favorites
Jaszz artist.Diana Krall.
singing what are you doing on New Years Eve.
Hope none of you have to go through this.
Happy New Year.
Stay safe,Do not Drink or Drive.
If you get a buzz this is the same as being drunk.
See you Next Year.2011

Well after packing & moving all day we went to Kalihi Valley to spend some time with our friends, the Martin Ohana. Had a blast and saw tons of amazing fireworks. Felt like a war zone. Smoke everywhere, bombs going off, things flying by your head, noise everywhere, mass confusion.

Awe, you poor dear. I can see why you aren't a fan of New Years Eve with a memory of being alone... I hope you, Mike and Buffy enjoy your quiet New years eve. Now you have company!

Hey Fredo, I am not going out tomorrow either - I will probably be sipping a glass of wine (or 10) I would love to have you, Mike and Buffy share an hour or two on MyBloggers with me whilst you partake of your beverage - we can put some music on (via youtube) and have a partaayyy

I will be spending the evening with Bette Midler in Las Vegas---on HBO! New Year's Eve is for the kids--to get drunk, foolish, have fights but hopefully not get killed by a drunk driver!
PS I prefer being left alone on NYE!

What a touching memory, Fredo. I can see how those feelings would stick with you for your whole life. Your planned celebration sounds very nice. We're staying home this year. I haven't decided if I want to try to drive a little bit to where we can see the Strip and see how the fireworks look from afar.

Take it easy and enjoy the fireworks.
