Prince William and long-term girlfriend Kate Middleton will definitely marry next year, according to reports.
Us Weekly says it has had a 2011 wedding confirmed by several sources, meaning that after eight years of dating and two brief splits, Kate will become a princess.
"The engagement will be announced in 2011," one source told the magazine, although a palace rep told Us that it will not comment on the private lives of the couple.
And the plan to wed is thought to have been hatched three years ago whilst on holiday in the Seychelles.
"Kate wanted assurances from William," Katie Nicholl, royal watcher and author of William And Harry: Behind The Palace Walls, said.
"William told Kate she was The One, but he was not ready to get married. She agreed to wait for him."
A third source, close to the 28-year-olds, added, "He wants to spend the rest of his life with her."
