just about every evening we all gather on the front porch and our friends from down the road come to join us. I found a little sign in a store that said front porch friends are the best. but the sign was very small or else I would have bought it. we just sit out there, talking, drinking tea or soda's and enjoy each other's company. and giggle over our granddaughter's latest antics. she is almost two and a joy to be around.

our best family vacation was a trip to southern michigan for a family reunion on hubby's side of the family. we slept in a tent and i have never slept so good in my life! I would like to go back to michigan and do more sight seeing. your trip sounds like alot of fun, especially the lighthouses.

when dakota was a baby we called his playpen baby jail. but I did use it so I could get things done around the house or even just sit down and relax!

summer has been ok so far. our vacation will be at the end of july when hubby and I both take off a week to hang out at our state fair. It is just something we have done for the last several years.

my daughter in law recently went to the emergency room. They ran blood tests, etc but said they needed an MRI to fully diagnose the problem. Insurance denied the test saying she was not in a life threatening situation. So I guess their plan is to let it get to a life threatening situation before she can be treated!

the lilies are gorgeous fredo! I am not ready for this heat wave at all! my pool will feel like bath water! my favorite place to be is on my porch in my hammock swing. I almost fell asleep in it last night!

we are getting a heat wave starting today. I am not looking forward to it at all. I like summer but not when the temps climb over 90. and the pool is more like bath water so even that won't be refreshing. ugh! bring back winter!
