I'm Stuck!

I really really am stuck...genuinely stuck in the mud. My car is sitting on the side of my house not going anywhere. grrrrrrrrrrrrr....

Let me back up and tell you what's happening. Were having plumbing problems again....and we called the landlord....again....and he came out...again....and well one thing lead to another and here we are.

I have 1/2 tons of rocks in my driveway...so the only place to park is in the field by my house...are in the front yard. Well I chose the field on the side of the yard. Which in hind site was not the best of ideas. Especially since it's been raining for two days. I decided since it's just the boy and me tonight I would go and pick up something for supper. I didn't feel like cooking.

Well I get in the car and start to back up and I can feel the back tires spinning and spinning and spinning. I tried pulling up and trying it again...and you guessed it...well...I have now got a pretty much stuck car...and I don't know what the heck to do.

Hubby is at work catching up on some things...I call him and all I hear on the phone is "Shit" and then silence. So much for moral support..*laughs* I figure I would go ahead and tell him over the phone so if he's pissed he can get it all out before he comes home and yells at me for parking in the mud...LOL Smart huh?

Oh well such is life...sometimes you get stuck in the mud and sometimes you don't....or is it something about a bug and a windshield... I wonder how much tow trucks cost these days?

Before you call the tow truck, try putting some wooden planks under your tires. That is, unless you've buried to the axle!! Then, it's the tow truck! Good luck!

It's times like that when a 4-wheel drive is worth the crappy millage. Me and the ex got stuck in axle-deep mud on our first camping trip with the Beast. He got us out with little difficulty (although quite a mess). Good luck, I hate mud season myself.
