I have found over the past several months that many businesses are not honest. It seems that people have a hard time in being direct. If a company is not going to hire someone, they should be polite and honest enough to let that person know instead of ignoring the person completely and giving the person false hopes that they will be hired or are still being considered for the job.
Also, I have found that when people are sent emails requesting information, they completely ignore the request as if it never was sent.
For me, when I come across this type of company or person, it immediately raises a red flag for me and raises suspicions about the type of company or person I am or will be dealing with.
For me, being direct with someone and letting them know how and where they stand is a more ethical practice and one that all companies and people should use in their everyday dealings with others. Being honest is not only ethical, but also a sign of having a high standard of moral character.
