Last weekend (Wednesday July 29th thru August 2nd, PD's and my wedding anniversary)we decided to take a trip back to Idaho to visit family. I guess it was an O.K. visit. Not one of our better visits. First of all, I didn't get to see my side that much because they were having my nephew's 2nd birthday party and his carrier(aka my parents' adopted daughter, aka his "birth mother")was going to be in attendance so PD and I didn't go. My real sister back-peddled and went so she could help my mother watch both of the boys(because their "so-called" mother doesn't take the responsibility of helping care for those boys.) Enough of that. We did go visit them the day before and my granddad, one of my aunts, and one of my cousins came to visit. My cousin even gave us a copy of a book he self-published (too bad he didn't have a decent editor because it's a good story. Just needs the "i's" dotted and "t's" crossed so to speak.) We mostly visited with PD's side and the visit with the kids was better than with PD's bro and sis-in-law. All they did was mess with their cell phones getting baseball updates(while watching the game they were getting updates on.) It's cool they bonded over baseball but when you are suppose to be visiting with someone you haven't seen in a while, you need to set your priorities. Baseball will always be there. PD and I busted our asses to be good hosts when they came to visit and will be a good host when their oldest daughter and her boyfriend comes next month. We're kind of nervous because we don't know the boy that well. He seems nice but their getting together was kind of not accepted at first by her parents and siblings. Oh well I guess relationships aren't perfect. Like I said...it was an O.K. visit.
