Mowing is Contagious

Have you ever noticed that if you are the first one to start up your mower and start mowing the lawn that all of a sudden you hear ten mowers start up right after yours? I thought I'd bring that up because that just happened to me this morning. It's not the first time either. When I lived at my old house(this one too)it would be quiet until I started my mower. Then, simultaneously, you'd hear another mower, then another, etc. Who would have thought that mowing your lawn was contagious? Is it all those nagging wives yelling to their husbands "he's mowing his yard, why can't you mow ours?" To those husbands, I'm sorry. I just thought my lawn needed cut. Lucky for me this lawn at my new house is easy to mow. It only takes me five minutes(no shit). I even mow the part on my neighbors' side(he's been doing my side if he gets to it first.) The downside is that the rest of my yard is shrubs and flowers. You know what that means...ugh! Weeds. I have the cure...Round Up. Anything not close to the flowers gets a shot. That's my grand post for today. If you feel the need to mow after this...please don't blame me.
'nuff said.
