Quentin Tarantino

You either love him or hate him. In my mind...he is one brilliant dude. Ever since Reservoir Dogs I was hooked. I know he draws upon inspiration from Blaxploitation films, samurai flix, and even from spaghetti westerns. He even uses some of the same actors for multiple films. One actor's film career was close to dead right before he was hired for Pulp Fiction. Ever since that film he went from $120,000 per film to $20 million per film. I don't even have to mention him by name. Back to Tarantino. His characters are very unique. Reservoir Dogs: They all have aliases. Mr Brown, Mr Pink, Mr Blue, Mr White, Mr Blond, and Mr Orange. They all are involved in a heist. One of them is an undercover cop. Now that I've summed up the plot, I suggest you all rent it. It also has connections to Pulp Fiction. Mr. Blond's real name is Vic Vega. Vic is the older brother to the character of Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction. Mr. Blond is also drinking out of a Big Kahuna Burger cup. The guys that Jules and Vincent have a hit out on in Pulp Fiction also bought from Big Kahuna Burger. Tarantino has all sorts of fake products that cross-over into other movies. Big Kahuna is also featured as a billboard in Death Proof and on a segment of Four Rooms. Red Apple cigarettes were featured in Pulp Fiction, Death Proof, and Planet Terror(although Planet Terror was directed by Tarantino's friend as part of the Grindhouse double feature)and also on a billboard in Kill Bill. Jack Rabbit Slims was the Restaurant that Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace dined at during the famous dance scene where they win the dance contest. It's also seen on an electric sign in the Tarantino segment of Four Rooms. He also has some very unique dialogue. In Reservoir Dogs, there's the whole Madonna speech(you have to watch it to see) as well as the whole "who's the cop" plot. In Pulp Fiction, Jules gives a fake passage from the bible before he whacks his victims, Vincent and Mia have unique dialogue at Jack Rabbit Slims, Christopher Walken tells young Butch the history of his father's gold watch and how he hid it up his ass after his father died in a POW camp during the Vietnam War, and etc(there's so much dialogue to mention in this film.) All I'm saying is Tarantino's brilliant.
'nuff said.
