How boring would it be if you and your spouse or partner like exactly the same things? My answer...very. Where would the fun be? Example: The Van Halen debate. PD liked them better when they were Van Hagar(Sammy Hagar as lead singer...for those of you unfamiliar.) I liked them better pre 1985 before Roth left the group. I mean their stuff with Hagar was good but they weren't truly Van Halen. Another debate: Elvis vs The Beatles. You can like both but never be a true fan of both. I'm an Elvis fan myself while PD is a Beatles fan. Now on the Bud vs Coors debate...PD and I agree on that. Both like Bud. Now you do have to agree on something to keep a marriage happy.
