Here's a quote that I recently read from a bumper sticker: Stop repeat offenders, don't re-elect them.
That is the reason our nation is messed up. We keep re-electing politicians that are corrupt. They vote themselves pay raises and don't do squat to earn that money. Plus they accept money from special interest groups. One of the examples of this is the oil industry. When there was a clause in the energy bill that would have regulated the price of gas. The oil lobbyists got their bribes in and that clause was nixed. Sadly, three of the majority senators that voted against this clause are the same ones running for president. I still back Hillary but am unhappy that she doesn't care about the regular people paying high prices for gas. The same goes for Obama and McCain. If you go by the rate of inflation, we should only be paying $1.65 per gallon. I'm just being generous to the oil industry. $4.00 per gallon this summer is outrageous. I'm p*ssed about paying $3.39 per gallon. I encourage whoever reads this to write to your congressman (or woman)and senator to get off their lazy duffs and regulate the greedy CEOs of Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Texaco, etc. Their profits were in the tens of billions since this inflation happened. It's causing a ripple effect causing the price of necessities like produce, dairy, and meat to skyrocket. Pretty soon most of America will be broke trying to feed their families because they have to pay for gas to get to work to earn the money for food. If the house and senate won't work for the people, replace them until someone works for us. Don't give the greedy oil men tax breaks until they increase production to the point where the price of gas is affordable to everyone. I also encourage everyone to buy and drive economical vehicles to decrease the demand of gasoline. Quit driving the Hummers, Suburbans, and other gas guzzlers that get below 20 miles per gallon. Tell your congressman and senators that we need help. The Chimp is out in a year. Let's make our voices heard. Tell them that we are sick of paying high prices for gas.
I've said my piece.
