I don't know if anyone here has seen the show 24. It stars Kiefer Sutherland(he was in the movie Lost Boys and son of legendary actor Donald Sutherland) and it's set in real time. The main character is Jack Bauer(Sutherland)an agent with a government agency called CTU...Counter Terrorism Unit(as of this season, CTU was disolved and Jack is on his own.) Each season is actually the span of one day(24 hours thus the name of the show.) Each day Jack has to stop some sort of threat from happening to our country. This isn't easy for Jack because someone or something always messes him up. Sometimes from even his own people. His endings aren't always happy ones. First season his wife was murdered by one of his fellow agents. The season before this one he tortured his own brother to gain information on a potential terrorist plot. Turns out that Jack's pappy was involved too. He kills his own son...Jack's brother...and says that he died due to the torture inflicted by Jack. Later kidnaps his own grandson...Jack's nephew. Long story short...Jack ends up killing his own dad. Jack has also lost contact with his daughter. She was once a pivotal character and now she's kind of an afterthought. Up until this season when it was revealed that Jack is now a grand pappy. I don't want to give too much away. I DVR it every Monday because it conflicts with my bedtime(I get up the butt crack of dawn for work.) This season is a good one so far. If you haven't seen it I suggest renting it from Netflix.
