It was good to hear that Edie was up to venturing out for a nice scenic ride. After being cooped up for a few weeks except for short trips back and forth to see doctors or to keep me company when I made a run to a store, she was ready to get out and to stay out for a while. She didn't feel ready for doing anything more than just taking a relaxing drive in the car, but it meant that she was finally ready to go outdoors to enjoy it. I saw this, also, as an opportunity to finally see some of the many flowery sights that had already started presenting themselves earlier in the month.

We headed out in the early part of the afternoon and, of course, we had the camera with us. Edie had no objection, what-so-ever, to stopping here and there along the road so one of us could snap a picture of anything flowery that caught our eye.

We made our way through town and then through the next four neighboring towns. We couldn't stop at each and every flower, blossom, or bud, but we did make at least a couple of stops in each town. So, I guess you can say that we took a few pictures in each town we visited.

The ride also included a stop to get a cold drink at a fast-food restaurant. As I said before, Edie was still self-conscious about being out in the public, so we got the soda at the drive-up window and took our drinks with us.

We also stopped at a little turn-off area so we could just sit and look out toward the city for a while. It just felt so good to be out, to have the windows down, to have good music on the radio, and to be enjoying ourselves so much. Driving through Providence's East Side was the last area our trip took us to before heading back for home. It really was a nice afternoon, Edie felt so much better from the opportunity to be out of the house, and I got to see some flowers.
