Why not Halloween in December? I never had the chance to post any of this back in October and it is now just before the start of a new year...and we all know that, although the expectations of a new year are often optimistic, they can also be a bit scary. Besides, the wind is howling today, so it's downright spooky! Therefore, I believe I can validate posting this now, so let me share a little about what we (meaning Edie and I) saw back at Halloween time.

We went to see the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park, Providence. Thousands of pumpkins in different sizes and shapes were carved, lit, and displayed in an area of the zoo that took at least an hour to walk through and see.
Some of the carvings were of very identifiable individuals...

Some of the carvings were of fun things to look at...

And, then there were the good old fashioned Jack-O-Lanterns...

But, we didn't only get to enjoy Halloween in Providence because we had plenty of Halloween spirit right here in Bristol. Edie and I celebrated Halloween night by going on a Halloween stroll through town.

So, that about covers my Halloween In December post. About the only thing left is a picture of me with some unknown Halloween beings wishing you a Happy New Year!

(Not too frightful, I hope.)
