Nice job on that! Gee, I don't think anybody uses things like that around here...at least I've never seen it. They all use those terry cloth type things. That's very pretty.
It sounds like it'll be very pretty, can't wait to see it!
Can't really blame the dogs...it's like kids being let out to play and not being taught how to do so quietly, so why make the dogs sick? But, confronting the people is a different story...they're really the ones causing the problems. Just tell them...gee, folks, could you keep the dogs quiet and refrain from any noise until at least _______? (you fill in the time) If they don't or they argue, then get out those noisemakers, turn up the tv or stereo, if you're car has an alarm be sure to set it off all at around 9:30 to 10:00.
Nice job! The colors are great!
Good one!
Wow! You've bben busy!
Yummy! I haven't tried that restaurant yet but I have heard and read nothing but rave reviews. I can understand why you didn't pop into Newport Grand...last time I did try to gamble there, I lost a bit... but the last time I did go there I didn't even gamble (I wasn't going to make that mistake twice in a row! lol)...I went into the lounge because a friend of mine was performing. It seemed so different and relaxed than being on the floors with the machines.
Gee, AJ, I would think you could see the ocean from there, no? Oh, it might be the angle, so maybe you're right, oh never mind, it doesn't matter. It's just gorgeous, that's what it is. And, the history is quite interesting, too.
I want to see the movie, too! Oh, and that song you posted...grrrr! I used to get so tired of it when it came on the radio, but it would get stuck in my head every time! I haven't had to deal with that in ages...well, not until now! Darn you! Now who knows how long it'll be stuck in my head again?
Great pics, AJ! I felt like I had my own personal tour guide into Newport, through some sites, and to the library at Salve. What a gorgeous library that is, isn't it?
Well, I'm not into vampire stories because I'm not into vampires, as you know. But, that doesn't mean I haven't seen some movies and shows with vampires in them, so it also doesn't mean I won't ever read a book about vampires. Who knows? I just might read this one...or some other one(s) you suggest at some point in time.
I just want to add something...my aunt just came in from Florida and was looking forward to things being a little cooler than back at home. Surprise! lol She said she never did get a break from the heat at all. Matter of fact, some places in Florida were cooler than here.
Well, I'm pretty much forced to stay inside during the day, so I'm in A/C anyway, regardless of what is going on outside. But, knowing it's summer-like is tremendous when I do head out because it means there is so much to do and so little obstacles to keep me from doing them. We were able to sit by the water, under the shade of a tree..and you wouldn't believe it, but the wind off the water was just brisk enough to make exposed skin get an occassional goosebump. It's often cooler outside than inside an un-airconditioned building at night, so we like to take a little walk sometime after dusk. It's just so nice that slippery roads or iced-up windshields do not have to be dealt with. I don't like excessive heat, either...especially with high humidity (I can get quite miserable)... but this is the time of year that is synonomous with "lots to do and lots going on", and I love it. There literally is more than a share of things to choose from every day, and so much of it is fun...maybe even cheap or free. When it's too hot to do anything else, I just go where there's water, even if I only stick my feet in.
I love eating outdoors...if the surroundings have something to offer. I can be indoors so much and at any time, that I love being outdoors as much as possible, if the conditions make it confortable.
Yes, I'm sure the "project" will be an expensive one...what isn't expensive nowadays? I'm sure it will be very nice when it's all done, though, so you will enjoy it very much.
Rain or not, it sounds like a lovely day. Everyone had a good time, good food, and good company.
