It could just be that "hollow leg" syndrome that young men have at and around his age and, most young people can satisfy an urge to eat with something snacky, usually a comfort type of thing like peanut butter or something easily nibbled on. I wouldn't panic, but I would have him checked by his doctor the next time he goes in or if it really seems to be a problem or getting worse.
You have been sooooo very busy! Unbelievable! I agree that it would be a lot nicer to be called away when someone needs to talk to you instead of in front of customers, but it's a way to keep you at your station with less interruption to the customer flow. Retail of any sort is full of good and bad customers, good and bad judgement calls, good and bad pricing, good and bad moments...I give you credit for your determination and honesty when referring to your job and your experiences there.
Hope you are feeling better!
Wow, something stated so simply says so darn much!
Oh, I agree that there has to be a control on these interest rates that can just be increased at any ol' time, leaving credit card users with a bigger bill than they should have so that they are actually paying for other people's debts. You know that I am all for helping those less fortunate and I don't mind an extra dollar going to help someone who's short a dollar, but this situation's math doesn't add up to quite the same picture.
I had noticed the weight gain and, like with everyone, it had to become her personal problem before she would tackle it with a vengeance. Food addiction is no laughing matter for it's a habit that can't be kicked cold turkey like other addictions. There's always a bite and a taste. I wish her well and success as she fights this demon again.
Now, when I do get to see that sign, I will take a picture!
There's a lot to be learned from Harvey Milk and his life and what he stood for. Penn should be a perfect Milk because he is quite the intense actor, meaning he "becomes" the part and plays it as realistically as possible.
I heard this and looked it up and it's wonderful, isn't it? Finally, somebody is actually considering such a person as Maxwell. I love forward steps. (Sorry, I'm also laughing at AJ's comment...too funny.)
Well, I guess I am quite rich, then...one could say I'm pretty well off.
I call books like this "bedside table books"...where one can get a quick read and possibly put the put back on the table without falling asleep while reading, having the book plummet to the floor that undoubtedly will result in losing the page, and the eyeglasses ending up in the bed somewhere, hopefully avoiding breakage during the night.
Nice cups and a great pic of the flowers. (Of course, ours have to stay indoors at this time of year...grrrrr)
I'm having trouble placing her...isn't that awful? I'm going to go look her up so I can refresh my memory...gee, I'm so embarrassed.
Unbelievable! I especially liked the part when he said teachers made him feel so small...now he's showing them just how wrong they were! Amazing what he can do, the money he has now come into, the unique talent (and patience) he has...all was amazing, right down to that tiniest speck of Charlie Chaplin!
I hope she does "tackle" Normal Heart.
(I saw Simply the Best and thought it was tied somehow to Tina Turner or the song...it's a special song to me and Edie. But, I wasn't disappointed at all when I read what it was really connected to.)
Well, bust my britches, I'm loving this! Do you have more?
