You know, you've recommended a few links/sites in the past and I checked them out and learned so much, which is why I didn't hesitate to watch the videos you posted here. These are well made videos that provide so much information...just what you wish for, for greater awareness. Thank you for making me more aware.
I kind of figured Quantum was going to do just fine and it certainly did! I haven't seen any of the movies listed, but I will someday.
I'm thinking of the movie with Mia Farrow...oh, well.
I like the way this one sounds, I might add this to the list, too.
(It's nice that I've read two reviews of yours in a row and there was no mention of vampires. )
This one sounds interesting enough for me to give it a try, even if it is a little slow moving. (Hey, I move a little slow myself sometimes! LOL)
After reading through the comments, I must add another note...I, too, have not read Uris' "Exodus", but would very much like to do so. Maybe I should just plan on getting it the next time I go to the library. (Which, by the way, is fabulous! The new library is really, really nice...I love it!)
That was some post...it's all back to religion, in this case it shows how much of an influence religion is in the black population, which is why they are in such strong opposition, but it boils down to the influence of religion, not skin color. I, too, believe that religious beliefs should influence our own personal decisions and maybe how we conduct ourselves, but to allow any religion among any people to influence the rights and laws of this country when any kind of inequality or denial of rights exists is just plain wrong.
Another busy day, but it really does sound like it was a good one. It's great that one medication is being reduced, but I'll keep praying about that other medication (dosage) you're "experimenting" with, those rashes and things...gee, I sure do hope all of that "stuff" clears up and you start feeling better. How nice you could spend some time with your friend. I know you always enjoy the visits you have with her, so I hope your plans to see her in Washington work out.
I don't think I can take your old kitchen off your hands. Might be a bit difficult getting it from there to here, especially if I have to remove it myself. Good luck with the selling...the deadline is not that far away.
I'm not even CLOSE to be being caught up!
I'm just tackling all new stuff and as much recent stuff as I can, in here, the other sites I go to, and my regular email...I'll take a stab at old(er) stuff here and there when I can. (I need like 3 whole days of nothing else if I was ever to be all caught up).
Your hands are always full, but, thank goodness, your kids are such great kids and take such responsibility in their lives. No wonder you're so proud of them!
I found this to be a very interesting and well-written article. Surely, Makeba was an icon, a real heroine to her native country and people. But, she had brought her country to other parts of the world so that South Africa was better understood and recognized. What a real loss this is.
I want to wish you luck and success with this major house project you have going on. It will be a lot of work, a lot of mess, a lot of time, a lot of cleaning up, and a lot of money...but it will all be great in the end!
Well, those results look pretty good...nice finance results!
Extend my congrats to the winner, please? I still can't believe the answer is bananas!
Oops, I haven't read the news that leads up to this update, but I have a feeling that some illegal parkers got their act straightened out. Hey, isn't it supposed to be a civic duty or something like that to report any law violations that are witnessed? So, you did your duty...job well done!
I never said it because I never would. I like you no matter how your hair is. I think you look good any way you look. But, if I have to say which hairstyle I like better.....well,....hmmmmm....I like it shorter than you had it, but I would have liked it just as much if the haircut was as it is now or anything in between where it was. Now, let's talk about your glasses! (I like you either way, but I "recognize" you more in a handsome sort of way when you have your glasses on.)
