It sure is a nice time of year...even I feel reborn!
And this is absolutely true!
All of you do so much! Always busy and so much of it is good stuff! I think your son has a good head on his shoulders and it sounds like he listens to what you say, so he's stands a good fighting chance that he'll make right decisions in his life. And your daughter grew? It's funny when they say they can feel that they're taller, and then it turns out that they are!
Ku'uipo is smiling! How cute!
Gee, an awful lot of stuff happened in your birth year! That shows you the difference in our ages...you have to read about these things, I just have to think back and remember them! Ohhhhh...
I have anorexic "tendencies", too (you'd never know by looking at me), but my doctor made me concentrate on turning that problem around. As a result, I had to "practice" eating, how to eat, so I could learn TO eat. Of course, that meant weight gain, but it also meant learning about how the body works, how food works, and what needs to be done and why. It still isn't easy because there are so many other factors, too, but I just know I can lose weight and do it right if I just concentrate on doing it. I found that it's hard, but there are ways to make it easier. One way is to concentrate, like I said, on eating and exercising right but not getting all hung-up on the whole thing so it's a normal part of life and not feeling like punishment.
You know, you have a wonderful sis and wonderful kids. How nice of them to do that for you! Cake, pizza, and chicken...yummy AND thoughtful! Jewelry...thoughtful and sentimental! It was a great birthday, wasn't it?
Once again, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! I'm so glad you had such a good time! You can see how everybody is having a good time.
I like the sound of that restaurant! Drawing on the table would be a blast! What a great place for a birthday party dinner! Fun AND good food!
I am so sorry I wasn't here for your birthday (and didn't realize it from the other site) because you know I would have wished you a happy birthday! So, please, accept my wishes for a HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!
Purr-fect! Hey, I think one of the kitties in the first picture looks like me!
Nice tree! Give it plenty of loving, ok, Martin?
Sorry about all the hooplah, fussiness, time-consuming, form-filling time you had to spend to keep yourself "eligible and active", but what kind of government would this be without tons of paperwork and forms to go through?
Oh, and that "downer" note you added at the end...well, it made me HAVE TO copy & paste one of my blogs from "the other site" over to this site. Abuse is a worldwide epidemic with so many victims being children or adults who are still dealing with the effects and behavior of abuse. While there are plenty of other issues to be rightfully fought for or against that can and often be handled by adults, this is an issue that MUST be dealt with by adults because the children and the damaged-from- suffering adults are not able to fight this enemy.
Aha! A cliffhanger! Everything was going along so good and then, uh oh! I can't wait for the next "episode"!
With the scarcity of jobs and/or the location of jobs, cars must be used to make a living. Even leisure travel often pulls in a preference to car travel because of the disgraceful conditions and services of alternate transportation options (airlines, railway, bus, etc.). Even if we vow to use our cars strictly for necessary purposes only, the government and fuel suppliers know they have us by the you-know-whats. We know what alternative energy may be able to do to help us out, but we also know what it will mean to the big oil producing suppliers, companies, and everbody else who benefits from them, so the "push" for switching over to other means is only an appeasement, enough of a "sign" to make us happy, shut up, and go away. This is just a little something I have taken out of context of my whole thinking on all of this, but I believe it makes a point without citing specific facts, examples, or explanations.
You are so lucky to have doggie and kitty kids! I miss having a pet so much, but I know I wouldn't really be able to afford one now anyway, so why would I want to take a chance of not providing and caring for a pet properly? But, I envy you because I would very much enjoy having a pet or two.
