I have to laugh, but in my friend's case on Friday, the judge is the one who said NO NO NO!!!! Her 4 yo grandson was detained and she wasn't granted custody, so now the appeal process begins, while the 4 yo is shuttled from foster home to foster home, while his permanent bedroom sits empty at his Grandmother's home???!!!! ACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
It was the mother's 3rd DV charge on her partner, so that is how this happened!! So sad, but I have to say, some people really should not be parents!!
Ditto Ditto Ditto!!! Although the media is reporting a higher voter turn out...we shall see how corrupt this country can be, come November, compared to the last couple of elections!!! I am of the belief, to do the most good with the most people on a daily basis. This is supposed to be a democracy we are living here... Here in the USA, our poor and homeless are considered second class citizens, in other countries our poor look well off compared to their poor, homeless beggars. Anyhow, my thinking is what can I do for my community/country as a whole, not MEMEMEME!!! It is what it is........ Be well my friend, Barb
Steve great little diddy there!! I have 5 cousins in the same family, all lawyers and Junie the oldest daughter has been a judge for decades!! So 3 daughters and 2 sons all have careers in LAW. The incredible thing is that their dad, Uncle Buddy, was a farmer of 300+ acres of olive groves, yet he died so young at 40, the day before the Big Earth Quake in 1971!!! Aunt June is still kicking up her heels at 84, with her "new knees" and never remarried.... Anyhow, even Butte County has a female judge, we are still pretty rural out of the 58 counties in California!!! So slowly but surely...
Happy Thursday Randy!! As I have stated before, you really impress me, your daughter knows how you feel!!! Tears or no tears the love and concern you have for all 4 of your children shines through on this computer!! Can I ask where your grandson was? Maybe he stayed in Honduras? The two weeks I spent with my three sisters and their families and of course "Chickie", my adopted Mom in Simi Valley was two of the best weeks with my family EVER!!!! I told a friend, if they all die today or if I die today, we would all know how much love and respect we have for each other!!! We somehow made up for all the years we didn't grow up together, especially in the late 1970's!! Anyhow, it's OK to cry....my Father was a man of few words, but the last week of his life, he cried so many tears...out of excruciating physical and emotional pain and torment. You may be surprised but I have NEVER had a slice of Pecan Pie, it sounds absolutely delectable!! I would love a slice of yours with some freshly ground coffee beans!! My oldest daughter goes on these huge baking sprees, of course from scratch, we now know it is THERAPY for her!! People love getting goodie bags from Ayla, no matter what the occassion!! I made chocolate bars in my huge Pyrex and everyone devoured them last night at a meeting I attend on Wednesday evenings!!! Be well my friend, Barb
Perfect reading after a long insane day!!!!!
Riding a motorcycle again is on my "Bucket List" I could see you and your wife traveling on a bike together for miles and miles and miles.... I have a g/f who owns a Harley bike shop in Oroville. She also has at least 8 bikes she rides all over. It could be any day of the week when I die, but I refuse to live in fear!!!
Thank You!!!!! Very lovely sharing your oldest daughter with US, Randy!! When my Oldest soon to be 21 this year, moved to Georgia after HS graduation, it was the only time we haven't lived together, in her entire life. I can only imagine if a man and her life's work would take her to a different country, versus a 5 hour plane ride away??!! WOWOWOW, I'm impressed and you have every right to "brag" about all of her wonderful accomplishments!!! We are so blessed to have daughters in our lives!! The entire 2 weeks I was in Southern California, I was with so much family and it was INCREDIBLE, I miss my three sisters and their families so much, so it always fills me back up, even after all the medical nightmares and stress that, that can bring!! Be well my friend, It's the annual Kite Day in Chico at the 20th St. Park, so it's a great day to be outside and perfect for bubble blowing with these cool breeze!!
Barb
Randy, What a way to see and experience the WORLD!!! I would enjoy viewing the slide show, when is the personal screening with commentary?? It makes me want to travel out of the "States" even more!! I have yet to leave this country, hopefully that will change on my "train trip" this summer!! Barb
Savor the moment....I wish I could say the same thing was found in my mail box!!!
Ahhh yes, celebrating LIFE is a wonderful thing, I am thrilled to hear you all enjoyed your selves immensely!! We also celebrated two nieces and one nephews birthday's yesterday at brunch!! It was the first time in 25 years that my b-i-l was not with us to celebrate....he is in so much pain he is not doing well, but we have to hope for the best!! Anyhow, I am so happy to hear about you getting your Mother's coffee urn back to the rightful owner. Ask and you shall receive...usually!! Being OVERWHELMED can be a good thing as you have expressed. Enjoy your special day and know that your Mom was so thrilled 65 years ago giving birth to you Randy!!
YUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one really knows what CORN DOGS are made of!!! I haven't eaten them in more than 20 years!!!! Body parts pulverized into a tube....no thank you!!!

Very nice Dottie, I love the palms and the city in the backgroud!! Enjoy all of the Sunshine!!! Barb
So tragic....
WOWWOWOWOWOWOW gorgeous Fredo!!! It kinda reminds me of a huge sand mandala made in Chico recently. It took the Buddhist monk 5 whole weeks to make it, check out my page, I think I down loaded it. Enjoy your Spring!!! Barb
