If anyone knows anything about "wells", please comment on this article.
I'll first tell the problem. I'll admit, I am going on "instincts" rather then "in-depth" knowledge. I really don't know much about "wells".
I bought this little "swimming pool" for the kids. It's only "10 ft" wide, and "30 in" deep. The box says it holds "900" gallons.
We rent this place from "Roxann's" parents. Well when they heard I got a pool, they became very worried about the "well" going dry.
In my thinking, all these houses close are "likely" tapped into the same "water table". This may not be true, but we are all so close, it seems logical to me. To me, this many houses around, on the same "water table", means it's big.
I think her parents look at a "well" like a bathtub. It only holds so much, and once you drain it it's gone.
I look at the well like. There is a "huge" water table under there. We all tapped into it. Michigan "is" the "Great Lakes State". Why are so many people here, dealing with winter... and not in "Nevada" (much nicer there). We got "water", like lots of it.
Don't "wells" work in this way? (correct me if I am completely wrong, I don't know). To me, a "well" will "replenish". As it rains, water seeps through the "sediments" It fills up again.
So in my thinking (and If I am wrong, I will be the "asshole" of the year. If that well goes dry it will cost thousands). If we fill the "pool again" (kids got into it all dirty and chit), and I watch the "flow" of the water close. If I don't see a "water pressure" drop, will I be "OK"? Won't the "water table" (no matter how many on it) refill itself in a few days?
I don't "claim" to know "everything about everything". When I don't know something, I ask rather then try to be "smart" on something I really don't know. Makes me "smarter" in the long run. Anyway, if you know anything about this.. PLEASE say!
Gary :)
