A Journey Into My Life

Spelling/writing

How can I learn to "spell better"? How can I become a better "writer"? I don't even know. I'm not "totally" bad at it, but there are so many "words" I spell "wrong". I'm certain many of you have noticed in my posts. I think "probably" something I learned as a "kid" (spelling certain words a certain way), and it "stuck". Yes there is "spell check", but who will do all that for a "blog"?

I think, I'm not too "bad at writing" in general. Mainly the way I can "compose" a subject. I feel "I can write" everything correct the way my "English teachers" taught me (I had all advanced English classes). I don't write that way, even though I could. My own "personal take" on how I write (however), is a "mix of what I learned in "school" as well as what I learned "reading the internet" (which is like a more condensed way to write, lots of words we use on the net aren't proper.. it's a condensed way the net has evolved to make conversation quicker.). I throw that into the mix of "slang" I know from my area.

When I "write" I throw "alot into the boat". I want to "throw" enough "proper English in", to not make me sound "totally stupid". I want my posts to be somewhat believable (I always say truth). I don't want to "alienate". By this I mean, if I was talking nothing but "crap" all day, and nobody believed a word I said. I doubt anyone would read my blogs "year after year". The last thing I tend to "throw in", is "the slang of my life and my peers".

To be honest (To me anyway). It's kinda "hard" to write posts that make "sense" to the general population.

I'd like to "learn" to be a "better writer". I'd like to write a "book someday". Years ago, "Strider here" told me to write one of my life. I don't think I wanna do that. Do you wanna know the reason? This is completely true. If I every wrote a book, I would have to "say what I felt and know". Now this would "expose alot of people to problems". So I won't do that. Still, I'd like to "write a book". About what? I don't know. I started a few. I even got quite far. But I soon "scrapped them".

All I want "Now" is to become a better "writer". As always with me.. "say your thoughts". I don't mind "critism" (however ya spell that) at all.. lol. Just "say your thoughts"...

Gary :)
