A Journey Into My Life

Smashed like a Bug

Ok.. I'll get off of talking about "the Pirate". Even current computer and garden problems here. I really don't "dwell" on anything long really.

He was only "19". He was a friend of my cousin's kids. One day, my car was broke. Well I needed someone with a "car" to help me get me to this major show. I called my "cousin".. this was when I met the kid. He came over to help. She called him.

I liked him. I liked him alot really. He was young. He had a "baby" on the way. He planned to marry her. He took me to the show (for setup).. after that I rode my "Virago" motorcycle. I just needed a car to get the display in.

I did the show. He started coming over "alot" after that. He basically "begged" me to take him on "rides". I did. He loved motorcycles. Claimed to be an "expert", but I always knew he didn't know chit. He didn't know how to "lean" or anything. He always did things the wrong way.

His personality was this: Young of course. But he pretended to know "everything about everything". Everyone knew he "talked through his ass" most of the time. But he "talked" so much you couldn't say a word.. lol.

He was a "young kid" trying to make a mark on the world. I guess that's the way I see things. He was a "know it all" that knew nothing".

He had this "mini-bike" he was trying to get running. He actually asked me for alot of "technical" advice on it. I gave all my suggestions. I told him all I knew to get it going. I suggested "headlights" all that. He even did that.

He got the thing going. Actually followed all my "advice too". His "minibike" was working great. I even seen it once and was impressed!

"Smashed like a bug"! He's dead now! He was riding down the road. He had the "Headlights and all" I "pushed for". Just he was riding late at night. Hit by a car... and "smashed like a bug".

He never got to see his kid born. He never got to marry the girl. I kinda think, I should have told more "riding tips". Not sure if that would have mattered really.. but I wonder. He may not have listened if I did.

Too cocky for his age.. I don't know.... I miss him!
