OLD GARDEN PIC
You need to start calling me "Mr Garden" or something. Actually, I'd prefer you find a "cooler" way to put it.
I haven't updated you on my "garden" lately. I planted this "huge ass" garden this year, so pretty much "through the week", I am out there "weeding, and things like that.
I don't have a picture to show you. I can say, most everything is doing well. It's just "alot of work" (alot of work nobody helps me with). That's ok really, just I wished they "cared too". I just go out. Relax. Maybe drink a beer and pick weeds.
The "lettuce" is doing "GREAT". I wish I could give you all a "bag full". You can't "freeze it" or anything. We have now "more lettuce" then we could eat in a million years (even if you could freeze it). So I am like the "lettuce peddler here". I'm giving it away "FREE". Almost begging people to take a few bags.. lol.
The "rest" of the stuff is coming up good too. I'm gonna "re-post" the pic of before anything was planted (just so those that didn't read my earlier posts can see the size if it). Just tilt your "head" to the right and you'll see the pic... lol.
Like I say, It's a ton of work. But I really do like it. It's a break from the "hustle and bustle" of everyday life. I enjoy just sitting out there and "weeding".
It's "completely" organic. We didn't use any "fertilizer" or "pesticides". The only real problem we've had is "rabbits". Lots of rabbits here. They have ate all the "Broccoli" before it could get big. That kinda sucks. I always thought "rabbits" like lettuce, but they haven't even touched that. I wish they would. We got "too much" lettuce. Leave my fucking "Broccoli" alone.. dammit.. lol. They got to something else too, but I don't even know what "Roxann" planted there. See, I always put up a "stick with the seed pack". She doesn't, so who knows what other "row" she planted they got.
Bugs haven't been a real problem. Just a few got into "green beans". What we have here is "tons of birds". Everytime I look at the garden.. there are "dozens of birds". All eating the "bugs". In the beginning the birds were a problem. Scratching and whatever, maybe moving the seeds. Overall tho, I like the birds.
The "corn, and sunflowers" are doing "great" so are the radishes. All that "vine stuff" is growing well too (squash, watermellon, pumpkins.. things like that).
I'll post a pic in a month or so...
Out for now....
Mr. Garden :)
