I wrote a similar post "not long ago". I even titled it the same.

It's now confirmed. I won't be seeing "Motley Crue" this weekend.

I was "mistaken" on the dates for the "Ypsilanti" show in MI (The biggest in the state). After I found that, I knew I "maybe could see it"..

Then we got to going through "bills". We also ordered over 300 "necklaces chains", and other supplies. Things we will need for "Ypsilanti". Basically, we ran outta money. So rather then spend money "seeing a show", we needed to "do a show" to make money, week before Ypsi.

We then decided to find a place to work this weekend.

We got into this show put on by the top "Radio Station here". B95. It's on a "race track". The races will be going on. The fee was cheap (only $20). My thinking is, we can make money. People are coming out to see the "races", and the show will be promoted all over the radio. The "senerio" to me, we won't lose. It won't be like "Ypsi", but will give us cash for anything we need there.

Paul called me. He wanted to work together in another big festival for 4 days. I talked him against that. For one, that is is a "big show fee". For the other, the weekend after... we will be busy as chit. So he is coming down from the "Detroit area" to do this one with me "Saturday". We may try to slide into this other show "Sunday" (A 4 day show, we will only do one). To me,, why pay the big bucks to do the one he wanted, reduce our inventory. Things we will need for "Ypsi" which we already paid for. Plus not be out the other fee.

To me, he is a smart person. But doesn't think logical yet. Not on shows anyway. He scheduled a Biker event on Saturday (one day of the Ypsi) show. So he is gonna drive there, and do one day (2 hrs away). I will keep and sell his inventory that day at "Ypsi".. To him, it's like doing "2" shows. To me, he will be wasting gas, time.. and lose alot doing it that way. Ypsilanti is the TOP show there is in Michigan! The reason I know, I've done shows 24 years on my own, 37 years if you count growing up with it. He is leaving on the "Best day" to drive 2 hours away (Coming back to do it Sunday with me). He's "wrong" on this.. but, hey it's his call. I'll sell his stuff, but I can't sell his product like he could.

I fully understand his point. Why he is going to "Kalamazoo". He committed "previous", and I get that. If I tell a "promoter" I will be there, I will. 99% of the time. Just this show we got into is "Ypsilanti".. and personally, I'd break any prior commitment for it. The difference, I am established. He isn't. He is making a name for himself. I have it. I get it, totally. I just don't want him to miss "Saturday" at Ypsilanti. If he was there, it would be the best day he ever had.

Paul is about to be homeless. He and his wife don't get along. Her and her daughter are looking to buy a house together. Today, he had to get off the phone, because they had "house leads". Him being "homeless" is seconds away. Yet he is trying to "make money". I'm giving all the best advice I have.

I've been homeless. I always bounce back, and get into a "good" situation soon. "Rock stars or garbage cans".. lol. I've lived this way all my life. He's just starting out.

Paul is a very "Devout" Christian. I love the dude, I really do. He prays, I pray. Just he is more into "promoting" GOD then me. That could start a "major" discussion on my part, but I won't. Anyway.. God does things for a "reason", brings people together for a reason. I know for a fact.. he did in this case.

Paul doesn't know this really. But I got his "back covered". Already have lots of times. He has to me also. I told him, since I perceive you will be "booted by your wife soon", if you need a place to stay "FREE" for a week or two you are "welcome". What I really meant to say (will later).. there is NO limit. I'll help get his life on track. He just happens to be trying to do something "I know alot" about. Paul won't be out there, homeless struggling.

If your idea of a "Christian" is someone wearing the "new suit", sitting in a "pew" or something. You are looking at the "worlds" view of one. I am a "Christian". I sure as hell don't look one. But I also look at everyone's situation, and help if I can. I am not "bragging" on me.. I'm just saying "To me" a Christian, is one that goes the extra miles to help.
