JECKYLL AND HYDE,

I didn't know how to "title" this blog really. There are maybe "3 or 4" things (subjects) I want to talk about here. I've been gone like "3 days". Alot has happened really. This may be a "long" blog. I'll start with "Jeckyll and Hyde".

About 4 shows ago I met this guy named "Paul". He is "Christian", a devout one. We started talking, and became "great friends". We are the same in many ways, but in others we are like "Jeckyll and Hyde". We have been doing shows together since we met.

I am a "Christian", I've said in many blogs. Not a "conventional" one (I've said in many blogs too). I am extremely well "versed" in "scripture", and can talk to anyone about it. I am a "firm believer", yet....

Me, I walk around in "Biker shirt". I wear Iron crosses, and skulls. I work with "Tatoo artists". I drink, I go to bars. Yet, I am just as content talking to the "hard core biker", as well as the most devout "Christian". I just have this "different sense" about me. I am well aware, all I do isn't perfect.. but I am pretty good at alot. Personally, I feel, most wouldn't find me a bad guy if they met me in person.

Paul is "very" devout. He only sells "Jesus" stuff. He dresses in "Jesus stuff". I find that good.. yet I will always wear and be me. He attends church everyday (me I just mainly study it), he talks his views to anyone and everyone. He puts on "fund raisers" for his church and stuff. Me, I push my thoughts on "nobody". I'll say them, but I don't push. Nor will I "change" just to "fit in" to anything. I am not saying he does that, I'm saying "I am content" in how I feel, and not likely to be led by anyone.

"Jeckyll and Hyde". Well we both "like" eachother alot. We have been doing shows. Him a "well dressed Christian", me a Christian at heart.. but I sure don't look like one. We are now "sharing a booth". And we plan to work together alot. We are actually gonna be building a "display", so we can both still share a booth.. and keep doing shows together (better then what we have going now). We DO look a mismatch tho. Many plans are on the Horizon. I'm getting ahead of myself, here.., and specific plans would take too long to say. I can say, we drove around, checked different places. And there is one in particular that he will "run" for both our products, 7 days a week. I wish I could tell all the "details now", I can't. Too much too it. I'll just say this. I'll keep you "updated", and that "Paul and I actually get along "perfect". Even tho we don't agree on all. He's NOT trying to change me. Neither, am I to him. We just both have "different skills, and different thoughts".. but for some strange reason. All works well.

THIS WEEKEND

We both went up to "Bay City" this weekend for a show together.

1 hour drive for us, a 2 hour drive for him. So we set this up with the "promoter". Although it's actually "illegal" to stay on the property over night, I felt was ok. The promotor agreed. Cops came by at times through the night, never messed with us. Basically they asked me why I was there. They knew we were "extra eyes", and lots of crack heads in the area (I was the only one awake in the whole market). I am ALWAYS the last to go to bed. I am a night owl. So basically when there weren't "cops" there, I was the only one awake. The only problem I had was when this group of "black gang types" came through. I chased them off, they were yelling and chit.. but my presence scared them. I pretty much just said "get the fuck out, or you will have problems. They left. I only slept "1" hour, but I do that alot anyway. Had no real problems.

While everyone was sleeping. I did walk the town. I found some bars to check out. I can't believe it! I got "beat in pool at the bar"!!! I went in. Ok, must've been like "1 am". I asked if anyone wanted to play a "game of pool". The bar owner and everyone pointed me to this "old man". They said "he will, go ask". So I did.

I thought to myself. I'll "beat this dude in a heartbeat". Hell he couldn't even walk straight. Not because of beer, just old and "health" things. Gawd damn, he took the first "shot" and "ran the table on me". He had most every ball in in his first turn. He was "GOOD", but I am too. Remember, I do this all the time.

I took my shots, got it down to "two balls". I messed up. He beat me. Damn he was "good". Glad I just said "play for fun".

So, we sat at the bar then. He bought me free drinks till it closed. Plus he plans to order "alot" too. WE talked in depth. I wanted to go back the next night and play "sober".. but...

TWO DAYS IN BAY CITY

Show wise. Well we "slept" on our own booth. Had no problems with cops. None with promoters. Set up tents behind our booths actually, beside the promoters. Tons of people there, but there was a festival close. We think, they spent their money at the "festival" first and came to the "Market". They wanted us to stay for "Sunday (today)", but we cruised to a market 2 hours south. My house was in the "Middle" so Paul spent the night here. In the morning we went to this other show. Sucks, had to get up at 4am. For me, I basically went 3 days with less then 3 hours sleep.

ARMADA

I was sleeping in Paul's truck when we pulled up. He was like "Gary we are here (I had a sleeping bag all over me.. said I looked like a potatoe sack.. lol), we gotta get to work". I looked up, and seen like a "million people".. so I got my ass in gear. Just driving through the crowd was a chore. Remember, this is 2 hours away from where we were "fri and sat".

We set up, and it was "Busy as hell"! At first. What we didn't know was. This place closes at "noon".. So "What the fuck"!! Gobs of customers.. and we made some money (not alot),, but in the END.. both were a "wash to me"!! Had it went longer, would've been awesome. A perfect example of a "GREAT" festival that the "promoters" fuck up!

GARDEN

So I finally get home. It's only like "4pm" at this point. I knew I Needed to un-load the display, and check the "garden" (My passion now). I decided to "relax" in the "Garden" do some weeding.. stuff like that. Do the display later (which I did).

Get this! Totally "Awesome"!! Cucumbers alone (and I am counting this chit).. We have 15 plants. Each plant has over "70" cucumbers growing now. Times 70 x 15, and you will have close to an idea how many will mature. Will be more tho.

Corn... jeez, I counted 400 plants. All growing good. Each plant will make "1-3" corn ears. Start doing "math".. we're gonna have ALOT!

Alot of other things too. It's just hard to relay the "magnitude" of what I see. I'll keep you "updated"!
