This is a day in "History" that I don't think will be forgot. Both "Michael Jackson" and "Farrah Faucett" died today. I can't remember a day, that two "stars" of this caliber died on the same day.
I was never into "Michael Jackson" myself. Even when he put out the "Thriller album" (In the 80's) I wasn't into him. He was popular to everyone else it seemed.. not to me. I was listening to "Ozzy and stuff" then (still am now). I do see his "contribution" to music. I think he was a "decent" dancer and singer. But to me.. he wasn't the "king of pop" or dance, or anything. His "erratic" life makes sense to me, and no matter how weird he seemed at times. I never believed the "bad" rumors. I think it was "bad press".. and being as big as he was, I understand it. Personally, I think there are "better" singers on "American Idol", and better dancers on "So you think you can dance". Yet, he did ALOT first.. and will remain an "American Icon". RIP Jacko.. you will be missed.
Farrah, I always liked. Maybe it's because as a 13 year old, I first got that "Famous poster" all young boys had then. Trust me, if your man is my age. He had the poster. He'll admit to "doing things" (looking) locked in his room if you press the issue.. lol. Charlies Angels was the top show then. Farrah only did one season really.. but it will ALWAYS stick in our minds.
I wrote before about her. Like a few months back. I said, she will be dead in a few months. There are some things, you really "hate" to be right about. This is one. RIP Farrah.. You will be missed.
The media right now, concentrates more on "Jackson" then Farrah. I find that kinda sad. She was as big as him. Yes, her's was more expected. But both should have 'equal press time".
Anyway, as far as "Media stuff", this is a "Day in History"...
Take care all,
Gary
