There's only like a "million billion" cults in the world. They will "lead you, guide you", they pretty much say whatever they "think" that will make you "follow them". I understand this "greatly", and I understand why so many "fall".
I could've been "one of them". I'm not though. In my life, my "family" peers were "atheists, Catholics, Baptists" and really alot or others. I listened to them like "every week" growing up. I believed in "Jesus personally", but even those that did "didn't make sense". Those that "didn't" made far less sense to me.
In my "mid twenties", I decided to make sense of this for myself. I either decided, or got a call from God (to this day I don't know which.. probably both), to "seek it for myself". I started "reading the Bible". Pretty much very intense. I began reading like "8-10" hours every day. That continued like 8 years. I still read today, just not so much. I soon found I needed to hear "others" opinions too. I needed to know how they "made" the "scriptures" I found so contradictory co exist. I now have read "hundreds (if not thousands) of Biblical based books.
To me, in what I read and found. The "Bible" is 100% accurate. What isn't "accurate", is the general interruption of it. To me "So many churches" say things, that "aren't" based on actual "Biblical" knowledge, rather they base things from "years and years" of following a "doctorine" that really isn't Biblical.
It's a little too hard to "explain" in a blog. I will try a "little", but I know what I think (and know) won't do this blog justice.
Most of you are under the "impression" that there are "10 commandments". That's totally "untrue". There are over "600 commandments". They go from "Exodus chapter 20, right through the middle of Leviticus". If your a "preacher" or whatever, feel free to comment. I know "Biblical facts" quite well, and am not afraid to "dialog" with anyone.
So many will say.. "Why does everyone talk" about the "10 Commandments and not the "590 (or so others)"? Quite simple actually, but you won't hear this in most churches. It's their way to "simplify" the "10".
Everyone thinks, God gave the "Israel" people the "10" to follow". No, God gave them like "600" to follow. One of the "most" mistaken things about the "Bible is this" (hence why most churches say the "10", not the "600"). God "really" didn't give the "600" commandments" for Israel" to follow. He gave them to "show they couldn't" follow. They couldn't be as "perfect" as God expected without a God given sacrifice. In Israel (at the time), they made "laws upon laws" to keep "God's laws". It was never his "intention".
I know I am "losing" most of you here.. that's why this is a hard blog for me....
In the "Bible" there were different "dispensations", "Time periods" and whatever. Without a "deep" study of them yourself, you won't "understand". I do know this one. Biblical facts. Things were said at certain times, for different reasons. If you can't follow the "whole tread", you will be lost. Like most churches.
Different "church" people like "Martin Luther" actually went "against the Jews". This is quite "understandable" in Biblical terms. God "often" was against the "Jews". Was he really though? No, they are his "chosen people". They were then, and are now.. Martin Luther himself went against the "Jews" on the "mistaken misperception God was against Jews.
In reality, God was "Never" against his "chosen people" (Jews). God just promised "blessings and curses" on them. The easiest way for me to explain is this: "God pretty much said "If you listen and do this and that, I will bless you 100 fold. If you don't, the world will curse you 100 fold. They didn't listen. So God uses Israel as an example. To prove his word right. They are STILL his "loved" and "chosen" people.
Anyone "atheist" here will think this "post" is a pile of shit. I know that, and don't care. In a "Biblical sense", I can back anything I say. I am not trying to convert anyone. If however you are a "believer" and want to know more.. ask.
Here's the thing. People like "Jim Jones", "David Koresh", and other cult leaders got people to follow them. If they ever read the "Bible" for themselves, this chit would never happen. Instead, they were "blind followers" and now dead. Them and their kids.
If you wanna get into the "Bible". Believe "nobody"! Not even me. Seek it for "yourself"! That's the only thing that really works.
