Looks like I will be doing a show in "Bay City" Michigan this weekend.

I couldn't find anything I felt better. It should be "ok", but not a major show.

I get a call from "Paul" today. He's that Christian guy I met a few shows ago. We now did "two shows" together. He's a decent guy. He sells all "Biblical" stuff, he does kinda "push" religion. But he's "ok" working with the "drinking" Gary.. lol.

He is "new" to doing shows. He pretty much "stopped working" to do them for a living. I'll tell him "Everything I know, good and bad". I kinda lived this way awhile. If there was anyone to "ask" it would be me.

One of his first shows, he sold "$1500.00". It's all Bible stuff. T-Shirts, other things. Plus he makes these cool "crosses" out of Horseshoe nails too (Actually my parents did that also in the mid seventies).

I listen to his "life story". He's had it rough. But such a "nice guy". I believe he'd do anything for anyone.

His last 3 shows, he lost money. He doesn't have a dime to live on right now. Ok, been there done that myself. I complete understand.

What he wanted to do this weekend, was a "Coast Guard" show with me. It's like over "2" hours from where I live, maybe more for him. The fee was $170.00, and he wanted to split it. For me, I could do that. Supposed to be 50,000 people. For him, he might be setting himself up for a loss. We'd either have "travel" expenses, motels, campsite fee's or whatever. I just don't feel he is "established" that well yet. For him, it would be a huge risk. For me, I'd make money.

I suggested we both go to "Bay City" this weekend. It's like 1 hour from me, maybe 2 from him. I know the "owner" of the place well. I gave him the "owners" number. This dude is a "talker", and I'd like him to learn this stuff better. I told him, "call the dude". Use my name. Say we would both like to do the show, but we want to be set up together. We'd like to set up a "tent" on your property and stay right there. Personally, I know that would work out. Yet, we can't get ahold of the owner as of yet.

If we can't get ahold of the "owner", I know we will both get spots. Maybe not right next to eachother (as it fills quick, and I do alot on last minute). If that does happen to be the case, the idea is "Roxann" will drop me off there Friday (three day show). I'll set up wherever (him too), and we'll just share "gas" and he can crash at my place. She will want our "only vehicle" right now for the weekend. This way, even if we have to go this way. She won't be "driving" back and forth morning and night.

The dude is "likely" to make money here. It's $15 a day. I told him, if you had a problem "I'd cover ya". The "fee is like nothing", and there is a ton of people still. For him, I think it's the best bet. Maybe not for me, but I like the guy. He wants to do this now (for a living), I gotta "show the ropes".

I do "fully expect" us to be set up together. I expect us to be allowed to set a small tent there (although not really legal, just the police realize if vendors are staying.. it's safer for all). I just need to get ahold of the owner before it becomes "booked up". I can ALWAYS get a spot. Two together, he will need to know ASAP.

Just "Another day" in my life. I'll let ya know what happens..
