You're on a roll now. Two posts in two days? Keep 'em coming!
That's terrific C. The best part to me would be leaving work at work.
Well, I guess I HAVE been out of touch lately. Congrats to Donna for her 3rd? grand baby! She looks lovely and Virginia is a beautiful name.
Okay, now don't through your computer at me, but I just renewed my driver's license and car tags by mail. Check the box, write the check (or credit card number) and mail it in. Two weeks later, both were back! If I were you, I'd print your info about the sorry reuben and mail it in to the top honcho of Shoneys. If that doesn't work, write a letter to the newspaper editor... I've had Reuben's and that was NO Reuben!
There are very, very few times I understand giving up a pet when moving - losing your home to foreclosure is one of them. Unfortunately, too many people are losing their homes now and that means many animals are losing theirs too. I wish I could give some of irresponsible folks a piece of my mind, but I'm just no good at confrontations. At least the people are trying to find new homes for the pets and not just dropping them off someplace or taking them to a shelter.
Hmm, well if that's the way you feel, you could always paint some dirty pictures on the bricks...
Sue, I'd have done the same thing. In fact, I once picked up a pile of shingles by the side of the road because they matched the ones on my house. Was going to use them on the garage. Maybe you could take her a plate of cookies or something like that. Don't give her any flowers unless you pick them from her own garden.
Aww, Sue, would it be such a bad thing to be a little wild after living such an exemplary life? Live it up! As Kate Hepburn said, "If you play by the rules, you miss out on all the fun."
Wow! Talk about an over reaction! Maybe she decided to press a claim to cover her embarrassment over not realizing it was you. She reminds me of some people I've known - "I would have just given them to you if you'd asked, but since you didn't ask, you can't have 'em for love nor money now!" You'd think she'd want them put to good use instead of just sitting in a pile...
I don't think I've ever seen an elk - let alone have one in my yard. Didn't you have a moose last year too? I hope Buddy remembers why he needs to stay indoors.
What do you mean by saying "As of now, yes and no," to the question about missing women? Enquiring minds want to know these things! Glad you had such a good trip - the photos are terrific. Like Laura, I worry that the beetle could become a huge pest after it controls the tamarisk trees. Hope they have that covered...
Ditto on all the other comments! Glad the getting there was so good. Can't wait to read part 2. The french toast sounds like a real treat! I have a little restaurant near me that serves the best french toast! I've never been able to duplicate their secret so I order it whenever I go there for breakfast.
That's hysterical!
Happy Mother's Day to you, too! Your husband seems very thoughtful. Lucky you!
I'm so glad you like your Kong Waterloo. My girls love theirs. Bella also has a Buster Cube but I only give it to her when she's home alone. It is another toy I put treats and stuff in - mostly her kibble - and she can play with it all day and still not get all the food out! I think I agree with your mom about the computer - a young pup like you should be playing a lot, not sitting in front of a computer screen all day. Maybe she'll let you play on the computer more when it rains.
