That yellow one looks like it's in pretty good shape - wonder if it's worth anything to a collector? There's a lot of that up north in Michigan which defies understanding because it blocks the view of this wonderful state. If tourism is supposed to be a big business here, how can such garbage be allowed to accumulate? Conversely, I parked my last car in my side yard with a for sale sign in the window. After a day, I got a notice to move it because it wasn't licensed!
If rock and roll isn't fashionable, then we'll be unfashionable together, Jeri. I love it too. As for mending and hemming - I stuff mine in a pillowcase. I figure if I get enough saved up, I'll be able to stuff a mattress cover and won't need to buy another one. I guess if I gave up quilting, I'd find time to mend but that's just not gonna happen.
What a nice thing to do. Hope the new feeders attract lots of birds to your yard.
I loved George too. Thanks for the reminders of some of his one-liners. I saw him several times when he came to my college.
He used to perform at my college when I was there. Amazing - a little podunk place in the middle of a cornfield and we got George! Every year! In the darkened arena, no one could see me turn beet red right up to my hairline. I laughed and blushed just like you MzScarlett.
I agree! We wouldn't be able to blog for long without power. And I'm on a well so I have no water without power. On the other hand, it would be lovely to see the stars from my driveway.
If I need to rearrange furniture, etc., I draw it to scale on graph paper and cut it out. I also draw the room (including doors and windows) on graph paper and put the cut outs of furniture on it. Kind of like planning a new garden. The Brown Palace looks wonderfully cozy and bright!
Thanks Grumpy. I needed that.
Congrats Dad! Now, can I borrow some money to go to the mall...
Don't give up on the idea of getting a dog from a shelter, especially since you won't be ready for a while. They often get puppies so you could find one there.
There are two big organizations for BG; American BG, and National BG. I put their links below. The last link is for BG rescue. Usually they get good dogs out of bad situations. Check the following websites for more info about BG's and links to breeders. https://www.brussels-griffon.info/ https://www.brussels-griffon.net/ https://www.brusselsgriffonrescue.org/
Welcome! I love dogs too.
So sorry about this Martin. I know how hard it is but as you said, he is with his friends now.
My cousin went through a tough divorce years ago. They fought over everything and acted like children. However, after all was said and done, he became one of the best fathers I've ever seen. Then the two of them became friends, something they never were when married. It took time though and if I'd asked her during the divorce if she could be friends with him, she would have said, "H*ll No!" It'll get better, Janet so hang in there.
I hope it helps Sue. I've had two surgeries on my neck and all I can say is: not again.
