Thanksgiving Aftermath

Grandsons got the last of the leaves out of the gutters in the dark and rain late yesterday afternoon. Just in time. Our temp dropped from almost 70 during the day to 35 overnight. Winter is coming. I had hoped to get the outside lights up too before the weather changed, but that didn't happen. My annual Thanksgiving Day bad back developed as usual as the day progressed. I just can't do full out all day cooking anymore. Daughter and grandson went to Kohl's at 2 in the morning. He needed dress clothes for winter concerts and they thought they would experience Black Friday. Mission accomplished and money saved. I hope you all had a wonderful and peaceful Thanksgiving. And now, on to the Christmas Holidays.

Sure. Make us procrastinators look bad. My outside lights are going up on Sat. when it is warm again. I have an empty list in my head. No ideas yet.

Today is Sunday (as I write this)? Since my T-giving was on a Wed., I, too, am off on my days. But oh, the solitude!!

You need that one little boy to come over for a bit so you don't go through noise withdrawal. Solitude is wonderful, though, isn't it?

I hope we get more of a winter this year than last year. So far, it has been warmer and dryer than it should be out here in the west.

Our winter last year was also warm and dry which led to our drought and heat in the summer. I enjoyed the winter; the summer, not so much.

Black Friday, like New Year's Eve in Times Square, should be experienced once and never again!
Take it easy for a few days--let your back rest!

I am not a big fan of crowds. We were stuck on Navy Pier one year at Chicago Fest (when that used to happen)with 100,000 other people. Never again.

I am all confused about what day it is. It seems like Sunday, even though it is only Saturday.
